Diwali, often called the Festival of Lights, is recognized by many Hindu, Jain, Sikh, and Buddhist families around the world. Traditions differ among communities and families, but common themes include light, hope, family, generosity, and new beginnings.

At West Valley EEC, recognizing Diwali gives children and families an opportunity to see the traditions of our school community represented and to learn that families celebrate meaningful occasions in many different ways. The Center remains open and follows its regular schedule.
